1. Sir Charles Court

Sir Charles Walter Michael Court (1911-2007) was an Australian politician and the 21st Premier of Western Australia, serving from 1974 to 1982. Born in Koorda, Court was a member of the Liberal Party and implemented numerous reforms during his tenure. His contributions to the state, both as a politician and a philanthropist, have left a lasting impact on Western Australia.

2. Wally Foreman

Walter Frederick "Wally" Foreman (1955-2006) was a prominent sports commentator and media personality. Born in Koorda, Foreman covered a wide range of sports including Australian rules football, cricket, and the Olympics. With his unique style and extensive knowledge, he became a household name in the sports broadcasting industry.

3. Johnny Cobb

John Edwin Cobb (1903-1952), better known as Johnny Cobb, was a pioneering motorcycle racer. Hailing from Koorda, Cobb set several land speed records in the early 1900s. In 1938, he achieved a world record speed of 270.224 km/h (168 mph) on an Australian beach, riding the famous supercharged "Railton Special" designed by Reid Railton.

4. Kasey Chambers

Kasey Chambers, born on June 4, 1976, in Mount Gambier, South Australia, grew up in Nullarbor Plain (Koorda region) and later achieved international success as a country music singer-songwriter. Throughout her career, Chambers has won numerous awards, including ARIA Music Awards and Country Music Awards of Australia. Her soulful voice and heartfelt lyrics have earned her a dedicated fan base worldwide.

5. Dave Warner

Dave Warner, born on January 27, 1953, in Bicton, Western Australia, spent his childhood in Koorda. He is an Australian rock musician, author, and screenwriter. Warner gained recognition in the late 1970s as a singer-songwriter with his band Dave Warner's From the Suburbs. He is considered a pioneer of the Australian punk rock and pub rock scenes.
